Katherine Manley Rider, 90, of Dongola, passed away at 7:21 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2024, at Baptist Health Paducah.Katherine was born July 28, 1933, near Karnak in rural Massac County.Katherine was a 1950 graduate of the Joppa High School. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dongola. Katherine enjoyed camping, quilting and gardening. She enjoyed music and loved spending time with her family. She had retired as a cashier from the First State Bank in Dongola.She is survived by three daughters, Deb (Jay) Borkert of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Lora (Steve) Korin of Arlington, Texas, and Cheryl Rider of Metropolis; one son, Scott Rider of Dongola; brother, Jim Manley of Metropolis, Illinois; sister, Margaret Farris of New Lennox; eight grandchildren, Joy Holloway, Joel Borkert, Christopher Borkert, Melody Bishop, Gary Korin, Joey Wilcher, JoBeth Rider and Erin Hubbs; and 13 great-grandchildren.Katherine was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell (Bill) Rider in 2007; parents, J
