Norman Lee Stubblefield, 66, was born June 28, 1957, in Cunningham Bottom, Cairo, IL to Tensie Mae Stubblefield. He transitioned this life Monday, June 10, 2024, to be with his Lord and Savior. Norman was a graduate of Cairo High School following which he joined the U.S. Army where he excelled in weaponry. Upon returning to Cairo, he attended and graduated from the Cairo-Egyptian Adult School. He subsequently worked for Crain Enterprises and as a forklift driver at Oil Dri in Mounds. His skills led him to become a neighborhood handyman in Cairo and vicinity. He performed basic maintenance, plumbing, and painting for many. He felt most comfortable helping people. He rededicated his life to Christ last year and joined Harvest Christian Community Church.
Norman was preceded in death by his mother, grandmother Willie Bea Johnson, foster parents Mary & Talmadge Johnson, brother Eugene Stubblefield and sister Norvetta Gray.
