Annie Ramsey was born to the late George and Magnolia (Trotter) Ramsey on December 19,
1963. She was raised by the late Annie Louise Cole Massie (Aunt Lou), after the untimely
death of her mother at the age of nine.
Annie was a member of Christ Temple Church of God In Christ from her birth until her transition.
Annie received her formal education in Cairo, IL and was a graduate of Cairo High School in
1982. She received her Associate of Applied Science degree in Social Service Technology, from
Shawnee College in 1985.
Annie has touched the lives of many in the community through her work in education and health
care.
She was proceeded in death by her mother, father, and three brothers (George Ware, Milton
Hamler, and Bruce Ramsey).
She leaves to cherish her memory: two sons: Torre (Mitzi) Wright of Puyallup, WA; Jerron
(Sharleah) Ramsey of Carbondale, IL. five grandchildren: Bianca, Jaylen, ZaRahnna, Zamarri,
