. He was born on Oct 13, 1949 in Metropolis, Illinois to the late David Hershell Sutton, Sr. and Eula Mae Coffee. He was preceded in death by his sister, Frances Cathey (Paducah, Kentucky). David Sutton was raised in Cairo, Illinois and moved to Murphysboro, Illinois in 2020. David Sutton was educated in Cairo Illinois where he worked various jobs for several years.
David Sutton's love for family and friends was evident by his continuous efforts to help those around him. He will be remembered by those who knew him as a loving, compassionate and charitable person who left a great impact on the lives of many. You could always find him singing a song. One of his favorite songs; Just My Imagination. If you knew him back in the day you may have seen him riding a bike which he playfully referred to as his Cadillac.
