Bobby G. Whitehead, 86, of Karnak, passed away at 1:20 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Massac Memorial Hospital in Metropolis. His granddaughter Kayla Eddington was by his side holding his hand and talking to him when he took his last breath.Bobby was born March 10,1938, in Tunnell Hill. Bobby loved sitting around with his buddies talking about guns. There was never a dull moment; he always had a joke or a story to tell. Bobby was an operator with the former kitty litter plant in Olmsted, called Southern Clay where he was employed over 25 years.Bobby is survived by his wife, Charlotte Wright Whitehead of 55 years; daughter, Kim Eddington (James) of Karnak; step-children; Dianna Miller (Stu) of Grand Chain, Deanna Wright of Karnak and Pam Lessar of Karnak; five grandchildren, Stephanie Debose (Gary), Melissa Parker, Gayla Jones (DJ), J.R. Eddington (Heather) and Kayla Eddington; 13 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and special friends, the Rev. Tim Newton family.He
