Daniel F. Dumas, Jr. 74 was born in Pulaski, Illinois December 2, 1949 to the late Daniel F. Dumas, SR. and Francis M. (Curtis) Dumas. He attended Pulaski County Schools (Banaker Elementary) and was a 1967 graduate of Meridian High School, Shawnee Community College, and Southern Illinois University where he earned a Bachelor's and Master's degree.
He worked for over 15 years at Burkart Randall starting out as a laborer, to machine operator to supervisor and department manager. He worked for the Century School district for over 22 years as an Instructor and Assistant Principal. Daniel also worked two years at Meridian High School as Principal.
He accepted Jesus Christ, and attended the Methodist Church and later joined First Missionary Baptist Church in Mound City, Illinois where he served as a Deacon.
