Charlotte Ann Viel 65, of Carbondale, Illinois passed away Friday August 9, 2024 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. She was born July 17, 1959 in Buchanan, Michigan to the late Johnny J. Viel, Sr. and Ruby Mae Purdiman Bickham.
Charlotte was educated in the Benton Harbor, Michigan. She loved cooking and playing music. She worked in manufacturing as a machine operator for many years. She later moved to Carbondale, Illinois where she was united in marriage to Fredrick Jackson who survives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Johnny J. Viel, Jr. and one great granddaughter Aniyah Nicole Rose Kennedy.
Charlotte leaves to cherish her memories one daughter, Nicole A. Viel of Minneapolis, Minnesota, four sisters; Sharon James of Murphysboro, Illinois, Deborah Haynes, Sandra (Horace) Woodard and Patricia Montgomery, one brother Antione Johnson all of Michigan.
