Rube Marie Prewitt Barnett 78 of rural Tamms, Illinois was born to the late Rill Prewitt and Febie Anderson Prewitt on February 25, 1946 in Samantha, Alabama. She was educated at Holy Springs Elementary School and later graduated from Riverside High School in North Port, Alabama.
Rube was a faithful member of St. John Praise and Worship Center in Pulaski, Illinois for many years. She later after the passing of her husband Milton joined with her daughter Janice and her husband Darron at New Bethel Baptist Church in Brookport, Illinois. Rube and Milton were married 29 years before his passing in June of 2020. She worked as a nurse aid in the nursing homes around the community for many years until she was no longer able to work due to her health. Rube loved cooking, canning and spending time with family and friends.
Rube was preceded in death by her husband Milton Leon Barnett, Her parents, one son Milton Leonard Barnett, daughter-in-law Ashonta Pratt Barnett, one brother William Prewitt
