Marshall "Glenn" Jenkins, 79, of Grand Chain, Illinois, (the Hillerman Community in Massac County) passed away peacefully at home at 10:20 a.m. Monday, Jan. 6, 2025.Glenn was a long-time member and trustee of the Hillerman Missionary Baptist Church. He was a Christian and brought his children up in the church to love God and accept His salvation. Glenn worked as a railroad railcar repairman and working crew for the Illinois Terminal Railroad in Alton. This railroad was sold, and with all his knowledge of the work and years of experience, he was then hired at American Electric Power in Metropolis, Illinois. He retired in 2008.Glenn enjoyed deer hunting and fishing on his farm near Hillerman. He taught his children and grandchildren to appreciate the great outdoors.Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar "Buddy" Jenkins and Mattie Sue Marshall Jenkins Mosley; one brother; and his stepfather.He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Brenda Wetherington Jenkins; a son, Jeff (Karen
