The loved and respected Linda Jean Martin, age 70, passed away peacefully after a courageous fight with kidney and heart disease. She was a welcoming spirit, who "never met a stranger". Her warmth and care drew people to her. Her supportive and encouraging nature radiated to all that crossed her path.
Linda was an industrious woman who could never sit still. She was a social soul who loved to spend time with her children, hang out with her friends, talk with her siblings, and learn new trades whenever the mood struck. While her primary profession was Unit Health Coordinator, she was also a trained masseuse, trained barber, and medical transcriber.
She met and married Gene Martin Sr. in 1974. Together they raised 5 children. Linda was a pillar of strength and support to her children. Watching her children grow up and supporting them through college in their respective fields gave her pride and a sense of accomplishment. Her love for her children was only comparable to her love for God
